Trompe L’oeil Project
This Trompe Panel measures about 76 x 49″. It is a fairly old project. A single panel of trellis can get pretty pricy, so we didn’t do it very often. It is a classical trellis feature often found in French gardens.
Our “Designer’s Notes” will give you a few hints and tips, but, this project involves laminations so you will need plenty of clamps to make it happen. You should also be skilled in using a table saw to make the straight grain cedar to the correct dimensions to bend around the curve.
Maybe if we do another one we will videotape the process. There are photos of the process, but, this is not a step by step or DIY Project. It is mostly a map with descriptions.
