Building showpiece Barrie Decks is just what we do, and have done for about 40 years. We started out on Big Bay Point working on estates and decided to make our thing unique backyard woodwork. We are also known for our Garden Woodwork ( www.gardenstructure.com ).
Our customer’s wish list was actually pretty simple. Make it look like the decks that used to be on HGTV and give us a private area for the hot tub, privacy from the neighbors, waterproof spaces beneath and louvered roofs.
She also wanted a deck off her office on the second floor.

For more elaborate decks, we will often do 3-5 layout options just to pin down the shape. We’ll choose our favorite 3, then meet with the client to chat about them. They choose one favorite design, or elements that they like, then we roll it into a final layout.
At that point we can bring things into 3D. Our designer tweaks the look and sometimes this process can take days.
The final rendering gets produced, budgeted and we present multiple photorealistic views.
