Decks on a Stucco Home in South Mississauga
These 400 square foot decks on a stucco home make the outdoors feel like part of the home. The open pergola creates a courtyard feel without blocking the view of this gorgeous South Mississauga yard. The 4 post supports will resist severe winds and the knee braces will also add strength to this deck and pergola. This deck was pre-stained and the majority of these photos were taken when the deck was 2-3 years old. For beautiful decks with pergolas in Toronto and the GTA, get in touch! This project was designed by Lawrence Winterburn.
A gorgeous deck made of western red cedar with custom pergola and tempered glass guard rails. The glass rails give the deck an unobstructed view of the yard. decks with tempered glass rails always feel more open. When you have a view–Show it off!
Our red cedar deck materials are upgraded so that cracking is kept to a minimum. We don’t often use store bought post caps–normally we make our own using kiln dried materials and marine epoxy. The pergola is open upward, so it gives the view a framework rather than a roof. Large trees offer shade much of the day. Add a retractable canopy for more shade or privacy.
Open Pergolas for a More Spacious Feel
The trouble with many pergolas is that the rafters and spanners are too tight and actually make the area feel claustrophobic. This open pergola makes it feel more like a courtyard. Open air and grand appearance of the quad corners makes this pergola on deck a substantial and artistic structure. Stucco homes require inspired design to make a deck fit while still remaining an extension of the living space. Speak to us about creating a deck addition to your home!
