We normally do a couple of concepts in 2d, often sitting at the dining room table to pin down what the client likes. If they are drawn to one over the others we can progress to a full rendering. In this case, we ended up doing 2 completely different renderings. These 3d Renderings go a long way towards illustrating the thoughts of the designer and dropping it in front of their home.
We created 2 slightly differing 3D concepts for decks, for clients near Vaughan. One features an oversized umbrella for shade, the other a permanent roof structure. Switching to the umbrella opened up the budget to enlarge the deck slightly. This sloped property was a challenge to design. The permanent roof would have inhibited the view from the kitchen. We hatched a plan to change the door location into the kitchen as well. The client built the deck but went with a budget builder. We can’t please everyone, though we really try hard!
